Changing your lifestyle with Exercise
Why not share in the experience that other customers have in reaching those attainable goals and increasing your level of fitness to new heights, reshaping your body and looking good.
As Alli says herself: "Fitness should be fun!” “Everyone should enjoy it and you will be surprised how quickly the time goes”.
Training our bodies to respond to exercise is a key ingredient in keeping physically and mentally well. It will also help you reduce stress, lethargy and have a major effect in decreasing high blood pressure.
How?
Together with exercise and nutrition you can get rid of those extra pounds and learn how to eat healthily.
- So let's start simply.
- Stop one snack today and walk 100 extra steps.
- Very little really, but it is a start. And starting is the hardest part.
Key benefits of exercise
- Increases bone density – reduces risk of osteoporosis
- Increases metabolic rate – energy required to maintain the functioning of the body at rest
- Decrease body fat – by increasing metabolic rate and therefore daily calorie expenditure
- Decrease blood pressure – reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure
- Decrease blood cholesterol – training can improve the blood cholesterol profile
- Improve self image – muscle tone, shape and size
- Improve posture – correct muscle imbalances.
Nutrition
It is commonly believed by many people that there are quick “diet” fixes to reduce weight, but there plainly isn’t. Many weight-loss programs have contributed to obesity.
Did you know that only 10% of people who have lost 25 lbs or more will remain at their desired weight!
The only true way to loose weight and become healthy is by following a few easy guidelines:
- Reduce saturated fat intake
- Eat more “good fats”
- Grill, boil or steam food
- Avoid processed food
- Avoid refined food
- Reduce sugar intake and fast releasing starchy foods
- Eat plenty of slow absorbing grains
- Eat lots of fresh or frozen vegetables
- Include plenty of fibre
- Eat a variety of foods including fruit and veg
- Drink at least 2 litres of water a day (excl tea and coffee). Moderate you alcohol consumption.
An active life combined with healthy food choices and behaviour therapy, if necessary, is the answer to life long weight control.
